LIGNANO Sabbiadoro will play host to the Biker Fest International this week, from 19-22 May.

It will be the 36th edition of Biker Fest International, which celebrates everything from customs to official factory machines.

The Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy, where Lignano Sabbiadoro can be found, near the city of Udine (home to the famous and historic football team, Udinese), is close to the borders Italy shares with Slovenia and Austria. Its capital is Trieste, which became one of the largest cities of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, in which it played an important role as a seaport town.

As always, the 36th Biker Fest International will feature the Biker Fest Custom Bike Show, which began in 1987 and is the most historic custom show in Europe. There will also be the only Italian date of the AMD World Custom Bike Show Championship, and the IMC Custom Bike Show Championship final, which will showcase “the most beautiful bikes in Europe,” according to a Biker Fest International press release.

“The Biker Fest also features shows in the Off-Road area, organised Moto-Tours, Rock Live concerts, a Pin Up Contest and much more,” the press release says.

In 2020, over 3500 test rides were taken on the newest motorcycles of the official factories, and these will once again be available for free in 2022. There will also be the opportunity to test some electric and hybrid machines in the E-Mobility Village which will feature e-bikes, scooters and motorcycles, as well as some electric four-wheelers.
