The evergreen Yamaha DT125 continues to offer new riders an enjoyable route into a life on two wheels
While that heady 14bhp may seem impressive to begin with, it won't take long to outgrow
The DT125 may have undergone an emissions-pleasing overhaul this year, but this learner-friendly dirt bike has remained faithful to the two-stroke cause

The Yamaha DT125 is a basic motorcycle but that’s part of its charm, restricted learner motorcycles are fun but remove the restrictions when you pass your test and you’ll have a revvy and quick(for a 125)bike on your hands.
Strengths
The dt is great in it's restricted form to learn on as that's what I'm doing at nearly 40 years young. being a trail bike with it upright riding position you get a great view of the traffic, decent breaks and wide bars give responsive steering and with a relatively long wheel base for a 125 it has a tiny turning circle. The dt's little water cooled motor has been driving these bikes around for years and are well proven and the best bit is it's also ridiculously cheap to insure and tax.
Weaknesses
Not many at all ..it is quite a tall bike so not for every one about 5 10 as a minimum with out lowering the suspension..and watch out for rust starting on the exhaust

Strengths

I really love this bike! And it's so much fun to learn from it.
Strengths
- Amazing handling. - Amazing weigth. - Awesome to drive offroad.
Weaknesses
- The brakes aren't that good. i would recomend to exchange to steel braided lines. (as i would done to any other bike.) - The cooling is not good enough for enduro driving. What i did was to apply two waterproof pc fans to radiator. It never goes hot anymore.
