John McGuinness replica Alpinestars Supertech R boots released at the TT
It might seem a teensy bit ironic that in a year where a broken lower leg is keeping John McGuinness out of the TT, we get a limited edition Alpinestars boot. But that aside, we reckon this new Supertech R will sell like the proverbial hotcakes. Not just for the McGuinness link, but for the natty Union Flag decals which look pretty sharp.
JM would sell a truckload on his own of course. He's a genuine legend: a TT great with 23 TT wins and more podiums than anyone else – and a top bloke to boot(!) The new boot design incorporates his own 'McPint' logo, with the TT course map and the Union Flag, embossed on the top-spec Supertech R boot.
The Supertechs have been Astars' top race boot for years now, and have been gradually updated over time, with ever more protection and sleeker, comfier design. They're a breeze to get on and off, even with the separate inner boot, and we've been wearing them for years with no complaints.
