THE difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. It’s a phrase that makes more sense in the world of motorcycles than anywhere else, I guess. But not a top-flight superbike could be parked in your garage for a snip of the cost thanks to the Upriser V4 S.
The Spin Master Upriser Ducati V4 S is a radio control motorcycle that is powered by a 2-cell li-po (high power) battery pack. All sounds quite normal, to begin with until you realise that the Upriser is a self-balancing motorcycle, using gyros to help the bike remain upright while on the move or at a standstill.
The 1:6 scale model also features a what’s called Omni Wheel technology, that enables the rear wheel to spin like a normal motorcycle wheel, and ‘crab’ from one side to the other, even performing drifts and slides at speed.
The bike has a top speed of 12mph, and a runtime of 45-mins, which strangely enough is about all you’ll get from the full-size V4 S as full chat too! Priced at £149.99, the model is available through Amazon and other selected outlets.
