Used Review: Arai SZ-Ram III helmet
Used product showcase from Visordown
Richard Hallett
Since 2003 I’ve done three Italian tours plus rides to Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France in my Arai SZ.
It’s now on its second visor and fitting kit. One of the internal plastic moulded bits snapped and I lost one of the thin fairing strips that cover the vent holes.
Otherwise, the shell and removable lining is still in good nick.
Vision is excellent although it could do with some sort of peak when riding into a low sun.
For sure, an open-face isn’t everybody’s idea of complete head protection even with an ACU Gold sticker on the back, but for touring, commuting and not slicing open the flap of the performance envelope, why wear more than this?
