GasGas announces summer test rides for SM 700 and ES 700 street bikes

GasGas have announced that their new street-legal bikes are now available for test rides at their dealers throughout the summer.

GasGas recently launched their first two street bikes, the ES 700 and the SM 700, and have now announced that they are available for test rides throughout the summer.

While both the ES and SM 700s are street legal, they both fittingly maintain an off-road focus, with the ES in particular being prepared to take to the dirt.

Of course, as with most of the output from KTM’s subsidiaries, the SM 700 and ES 700 share similarities with other bikes from KTM’s range. Like the 701 Supermoto from Husqvarna, the ES and SM 700 are based on the 690 SMC R from KTM, and feature the same 692cc single-cylinder engine as the KTM.

That means 74 horsepower at the peak, and both also make use of their KTM affiliation when it comes to suspension, as well. 48mm forks are fitted to both the SM and ES 700, but while the former takes its front suspension from WP’s Apex range, the ES makes use of the XPLOR forks for that additional feeling and performance off-road.

If you have been wanting to check out one of GasGas’ new on-road, street legal offerings, you can now do so with a test ride, which is available to be booked online throughout this summer.

To book your own test ride on either the SM 700 or ES 700, simply go to GasGas’ dedicated test ride page, choose which of the Spanish manufacturer’s new street bikes you would like to try, and then choose when you would like to book your test for, and at which dealer.
