The Spanish brand Torrot is looking to speak to interested parties as it seeks new dealers and importers to help its European expansion.

Torrot does have a footprint in some European regions, although it’s eyeing some key markets that currently don’t have any coverage. These are the UK, Italy, France, Germany, and Scandinavia.

With electric motorcycles making more sense in the off-road scenario than anywhere else, Torrot is well set to help boost the UK’s electric motorcycle market. It manufactures kids’ motocross, trials, and supermoto bikes suitable for riders from three to ten years old. It also builds a larger motocross bike for riders aged between nine and 14 years old, that is claimed to be equivalent to a 65cc petrol-powered dirt bike. On top of that, there are also a couple of urban mobility solutions, the Muvi, a city-centric scooter, and the Muvi B2B, a cargo bike for delivery riders and couriers.

All of the bikes in the range feature battery swapping technology, making recharging and changing batteries between sessions easier, and they allow the performance of the bike to be tailored to the rider and conditions.

Speaking about the expansion, Torrot CEO John Dixon, said:

“We are quite aware that outside of Spain, Torrot may not be a familiar name in two-wheel circles, but in fact, the history of the name dates back to the 1940s. Like many brands, Torrot has passed through different ownership and suffered particularly in the 1990s, before the brand was reborn in 2011 with an aim to provide innovative, fun and affordable electric children’s bikes.

“With a kids, youth and urban electric range, we are now looking to expand our offering into other markets, and while our country is well-served, we are very keen to establish agreements in the other major European markets and welcome conversations with any interested, well-established distributors in the major markets.”

More information about how to become a Torrot dealer can be found on the official website.
