New leather and textile jackets from Furygan

A brace of new riding coats from the French maîtres du cuir.

Furygan Blast jacket

OF COURSE it was with the legendary leather jackets of the late 1990s and early 2000s that Furygan really made its name. The firm's cat/panther/whatever logo, cut large in black on a classic red or yellow jacket was the top fashion item back in the day.

There's a lot more competition about these days, but the Furygan logo is still a corker. And the kit is decent too - always well made and highly-specced in our experience. Enter these two new sporty-casual jackets, the textile Blast (fair enough) and the leather Bullring (hmmm). Both have a similar cut, both boast D3O CE armour, but the Blast seems more aimed at hot weather use, with waterproofed air vents on the chest.

The Bullring is available in Black, in sizes S-3XL with an RRP of £429.99, while the Blast comes in the original Jet Black and Black-White options, and the new Black–Yellow, in sizes S-4XL with an RRP of £249.99.
