Bloomin' lovely – Orlando and pooch pose on Husqvarna

HE'S KNOWN for being a fan of all things two-wheeled, with a Deux Ex Machina’d S1000R and a cohort of other customs in his garage.

But it appears Orlando Bloom has gone Scandi with his latest bike, after he was seen posing on a Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 for a photoshoot in London’s posh Primrose Hill.

The 41-year-old is in fact a fully-fledged ambassador of the 115-year-old company, which is now part of the KTM Group. As an ambassador, he gets access to a range of the manufacturer’s models, and it appears the KTM Duke 690-powered Vitpilen took his fancy for this photoshoot.

With his tiny red poodle, Mighty, tucked into a messenger bad (sans doggles might we add), Bloom posed for photos on the 701 before taking a ride around the exclusive neighbourhood. The reason for the photoshoot is as yet apparent, but Husqvarna has denied any involvement.

The Vitpilen was first seen in spy shots in 2015, before being revealed as a 'concept' by Husqvarna at EICMA that year. At last year’s show, the 2018 production model was launched, powered by the same 692.7 cc liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine as the KTM 690 Duke. Making 75hp and 72Nm of torque at 6750 rpm it’s a perfectly potent machine for around town and certainly no place for a pup without protection.
