I own a 2004, and let me telll you do not listen to the gossip of being a less than manly bike, it is a great bike to ride, yes very heavy but i like that, doesnt get bobbed around on rough roads.
I'm planning France and spain next year with the forward controls is gonna be a breeze, I'll just say try it before ya knock it
