Reviewed: 25 June 2009 by Visordown
Agile hyper-tourer, with build quality to match outrageous performance and ‘Go Directly To Jail’ top speed. VTEC and other updates planned for ’05. Launched at the end of 1996, the bike was lauded as being a technical tour-de-force before quietly slipping behind the times as Suzuki's Hayabusa and then Kawasaki's ZX-12R ...  Continue reading

Had my 2000 XXY model for 2 years having traded in my old Kwak ZZR. I've loved every minute of owning it, the engine is an amazing piece of engineering, the twin balancer shafts make it one smooth, vibe free ri Continue reading...

Still probably the best sports tourer on the planet. Certainly nicer to ride than a Hayabusa or ZZR1400, and so much more power than a Z1000SX and Sprint 1050 that it isn't a fair comparison. A trifle heavy for Continue reading...

I've owned my Blackbird for 10 years from new, and it never fails to put a smile on my face. I've had test rides on equivalent bikes from BMW, Suzuki and Kawasaki, but none come close to the Blackbird. If you'r Continue reading...

A very accomplished hyper sports tourer that can match almost any superbike (or a Bugatti Veyron) on the straights and is pretty good through corners too. It is practical and reliable but a bit dull. It would b Continue reading...

 In the past 10 years i have had 3 ducati's 748,749,749s, 3 kawasaki's 600 zzr 636,and Z750, 2 suzuki SV 's yamaha FZ1000, thunder cat , cbr 600 ,and the awsome 750 MV Agusta,

And now to my collection a black 1997 blackbird with 18000miles on the clock, with out any problem the MV Agusta is by far the most georgious bike ive had , but the big blackbird has it all, It is good looken, and as far as power goes FECK it is quick ,

Arround the town it is brill no need for any over reving, and most off all, down the coast road it is brill, i thought it was gonna be a heavy beast far from it, it handles really good , and when there comes a bit of a straight Feck your at the end of it. The only other bike i had would give it a run down the coast road was my RSV aprilia.

Not as comfy as a Pan, not as nimble as a CBR.
