QJ Motor SRK 800 RR inline 4-cylinder sports bike leaked

A new inline four-cylinder sports bike from China is in the works, as the QJ Motor SRK 800 RR is leaked

QJ Motor might be the motorcycle brand with its finger in the most pies, it does work with a number of external and internal brands, but that isn’t stopping it from working on its own halo models, as the SRK 800 RR is seemingly leaked.

Official information regarding the model is not known, although a bit of information, along with the image you can see at the top, has been doing the rounds after being leaked. The word is that the QJ Motor SRK 800 RR features an inline four-cylinder engine, boasting 778cc and a power output that hovers around the 100bhp mark. The engine doesn’t look like a bored-out version of its existing SRK 600 RR engine, that unit itself was developed alongside Benelli, and features different casings and covers when the two are viewed side-by-side.

The chassis of the bike seems to be carrying some fairly high-spec kit, with Brembo four-pot calipers seen at the front end, and the suspension is reported to be from Marzocchi. The level of electronics assistance isn’t yet known, and while ABS and traction control will be a certainty, it’s not yet clear if this will be IMU controlled and lean-sensitive, or a conventional two-channel system. The website LivingWithGravity is claiming a kerb weight of 456lb (206kg) which does place the bike at the heavier end of the spectrum. It’ll be going toe-to-toe with bikes like the Aprilia RS660, which at 183kg is around 23kg lighter than the Chinese challenger.

We don’t often see bikes like the SRK 800 RR landing in Europe, although with this model that could change. QJ Motor has invested in Europe in recent years, and also now has some models heading across the Atlantic to the USA. With sports bikes like this seemingly in short supply in the UK and Europe, QJ Motor could see launching the bike here as a risk that is worth taking.
