First ride: BMW G310GS review

It’s hard to believe that this bike isn’t a thoroughbred BMW. Instead, it’s built in India by BMW partner TVS. But don’t let that put you off. It’s attractive, fun to ride and appears to boast the quality associated with the German marque.

Only time will tell if it can live up to the GS reputation, but I for one would gladly do my restricted sentence again if it meant two years on this mini-adventure machine.

Model tested: BMW G310GS Pearl White Metallic Motorsport
Price: £5,145
Engine: Water-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine
Power: 34hp at 9,500 rpm
Torque: 20.65 ft-lb at 7,500rpm
