2017 MXGP and MX2 Motocross World Championship Calendar announced

THE 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship calendar has just been released, with 20 rounds in 17 countries and four continents.

That’s a lot of travelling for the race teams but organiser Youthstream is pushing hard to make sure the world’s premier motocross series continues to be a true world championship.

Some of the old favorite venues are back for 2017: Agueda in Portugal, Baldasserona in San Marino, Uddevalla in Sweden and Ernée in France, where Team France won the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations on home turf in 2015. With French motocross on a crest just now, France will also host a two rounds including the final of the season at Villars sous Ecot.

Great Britain won’t have a GP this year but will host the mighty Motocross of Nations at Matterley Basin on October 1.

Pangkal Pinang, Indonesia, will host the second round of the FIM Motocross World Championship and Russia is back for the first time since 2012 too, at Orlyonok, which hosted the 2016 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship in August.
