WSB test: Panigale debuts, Camier leads

Panigale let loose on first 'official' test

LEON Camier led the first day of WSBK private testing at Motorland Aragon.

Although the times are provided by the teams and not measured by an independent timekeeper, the usual players are at the sharp end.

Tom Sykes, 2012 WSBK runner-up clocked a fastest lap just 0.4 seconds off Camier's best, with 2012 WSBK winner, Max Biaggi, just 0.1 seconds off Sykes.

Carlos Checa gave the Ducati 1199 Panigale it's official testing debut and clocked a respectable 1m59.0, just 0.8 seconds off the quickest time set by Camier.

Josh Waters, a last-minute stand-in for Sylvain Guintoli, was right on the pace, clocking a 2m0.5 second best, just ahead of Davide Guigliano on the second factory 1199 Panigale.
