WSB: Haga - ''I thought I was going to die''

Xerox Ducati man talks about his big Donington Park crash

NORIYUKI HAGA has admitted that he thought he was going to die during that huge crash he suffered at Donington Park.

The Ducati Xerox rider broke his right arm and shattered his left shoulder blade in the 130mph fall, but is now almost sure of a return to the championship on July 26 at Brno.

Speaking about the crash, Haga said: "I remember everything clearly. I was in second place, I didn't want to settle for that position and I was thinking about the situation in the standings but maybe I was thinking a bit too much.

"When I saw that the bike was about to hit me full-on I thought: this is the end!"
