WSB 2014: Championship standings after Portimao

No change to the top five with Kawasaki's Tom Sykes still leading

TOM Sykes remains at the top of the Championship standings after the eighth round at Portimao with a comfortable 43-point advantage.

Aprilia's Sylvain Guintoli remains in second position closely followed by another Kawasaki of Loris Baz who's in third. 

No change within in the top five as Jonathan Rea sits only 1-point behind Baz whilst Aprilia's Marco Melandri is 8-points off the 200-points mark. 

Eugene Laverty now sits in eighth whilst his Voltcom Crescent Suzuki team-mate and rookie Alex Lowes sits just outside the top ten in 11th position. 

Davide Salom remains the top EVO rider in 12th with 74-points, however now recovered from various injuries, Sylvain Barrier is creeping up the standings to 17th with 17-points from two rounds.
