WSB 2014: Championship standings after Misano

39-point lead for British rider Tom Sykes after doing the double

TOM Sykes has now secured a 39-point lead ahead of Aprilia's Sylvain Guintoli after doing the double in San Marino.

Sykes' team-mate Loris Baz has now moved ahead of Pata Honda's Jonathan Rea by a narrow margin of only one point after finishing second on the podium behind his team-mate in both race one and race two.

Voltcom Crescent Suzuki riders, Eugene Laverty and Alex Lowes, are currently in ninth and eleventh respectively whilst sandwiched between them is Leon Haslam on the Pata Honda with only 18-points between the three.

As Sylvain Barrier is now back racing after recovering from injuries sustained at the beginning of the season, Leon Camier is no longer his replacement on the BMW EVO machine meaning Davide Salom is now top EVO class rider with 67-points in 12th. Sylvain Barrier scored 6-points this weekend placing him 21st.
