JONATHAN Rea has done his first ever double win at Imola which has brought the Irishman up the championship standings, but only four points ahead of reigning World Champion Tom Sykes.
Tom Sykes still remains in championship contention in second along with Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli in third. Sykes' Kawasaki team-mate Loris Baz is in fourth with 119-points whilst Chaz Davies climbs from seventh to fifth after two second places at the Italian track.
EVO Class and substitute rider Leon Camier is currently ninth in the Championship standings sandwiched between two Voltcom Crescent Suzuki riders - Eugene Laverty in eighth and Sam Lowes in tenth.
The next round of World Superbikes takes place in two weeks time at Donington Park.
