REIGNING World Superbike champion Tom Sykes taken the lead in the championship standings by 26-points after doing the double at Donington Park.
Despite doing the double at Imola two weeks ago, Jonathan Rea was unable to repeat that at his home round and therefore now moves down one position to second in the championship standings tying with Sykes' team-mate 21-year-old Loris Baz.
Voltcom Crescent Suzuki's Alex Lowes moves up to ninth following a third position in race one at Donington, however his team-mate crashed out of race one and race two, but was able to remount in the latter to gain some points to round out the top ten of the standings.
The next round of World Superbikes takes place at the Sepang circuit on June 8th.
