Video: Vermeulen doubtful for Portugal

Kawasaki WSB man speaks of his injuries and his chances of racing at Portimao

KAWASAKI World Superbike contender Chris Vermeulen has said there's some doubt over whether he will be fit enough to contest in the second round of the 2010 WSB championship, at Portimao, Portugal.

The Australian tore ligaments in his knee after crashing heavily in the opening round of the series at Phillip Island. External skin abrasions have stopped surgeons from being able to operate on Vermeulen's injuries for fear of infection.

The team will make a decision whether Vermeulen will be fit for the next race, which takes place on 28th March, nearer the time.
