MV Agusta return to WSBK

MV Agusta to team up with Yakhnich Motorsport for 2014 season

MV AGUSTA have announced their return to World Superbikes in 2014.

The prestige brand will be partnered to Yakhnich Motorsport Team, who also organise the Russian round at Moscow Raceway.

MV are being quiet regarding who is set to ride the F4RR, although we expect to hear the announcement of a rider by the end of November. Next year will be a development year for both the bike and rider with the intentions of being competitive in 2015.

MV Agusta President Giovanni Castiglioni said at the EICMA Milan show: "Our official return to racing is a very ambitious and important step for us. Racing has always been my dad's greatest passion and this drove the brand to victory in many disciplines of motorcycle racing, from 500cc GP to Paris-Dakar and to the first Superbike World Championship titles won with Ducati. His dream was to see MV back to racing and I am so proud to be the one doing so."

Let's hope MV's F4RR has a better start than Ducati's Panigale, which consistently finished below sixth place this year.
