Rossi wishes Dovizioso 'good luck'

Rossi says that the Ducati is very different to ride at the limit

VALENTINO Rossi has wished Andrea Dovizioso good luck for when he takes over at Ducati next season.

Ducati announced that Dovizioso will be joining the factory team last Thursday and during the Brno race weekend, Rossi told Bikesportnews.com that the Desmosedici is unlike either the Honda or the Yamaha: “Ducati is very different to ride the bike and bring to the limit. It is impossible to say for Dovi whether it will be more difficult or less.

"I think that anyway from next year a lot of things will change in Ducati, so I have to give my good luck to Dovi and especially to Ducati to fix some problem on the bike and be more competitive.”

Ducati president Gabriele del Torchio told Gazzetta dello Sport this week that the Italian manufacturer plans on re-organising its racing department and work together with Audi, utilising their technology with the Desmosedici, in particular the German car maker's electronics and simulator models.

Following his struggles at Ducati over the past year and a half, and despite Audi's support for the Italian manufacturer, Rossi is returning to Yamaha for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
