Pedrosa: "I can fight for the title"

Could 2010 be the Spanish Smurf's year?

REPSOL HONDA man Dani Pedrosa has said he believes he can fight for the 2010 MotoGP title now that he is starting the season without injury.

Speaking at the launch of the 2010 Repsol Honda MotoGP team, Pedrosa said he's fighting fit for the upcoming season and has been busy developing the teams's RC212V racer in preparation for the start of the championship, which kicks off in Qatar on April 11th.

“I can definitely fight for the title this year," declared Pedrosa. “For the first time in many years I'm starting the season without injury. I've taken part in all the winter tests, so I've been able to concentrate on the bike's development."

Speaking about his motivation to continue in racing, Pedrosa said:

"Yes, we have had highs and lows, but we're still keen to compete." On the upcoming tests at Losail, ahead of the season start, Pedrosa insisted: "We must improve the balance of the bike, but I'm confident that we will succeed.
