MotoGP 2015: Championship standings after Assen

Rossi leads the championship standings with Marquez 74 points adrift

VALENTINO Rossi still leads the 2015 MotoGP championship by 10 points ahead of his Movistar Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. 

After another sensational win by Rossi, the Italian remains the championship leader ahead of his Lorenzo with Ducati's Andrea Iannone a further 46 points behind Marquez. 

Marquez remains in fourth after finishing second at Assen with 89 points, 74 points behind championship leader Rossi. Marquez's Repsol Honda team-mate is currently in 10th place with only 47 points. 

Closely following Marquez in the standings is Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso who is now currently only two points adrift of the Spaniard. 

British riders Bradley Smith and Cal Crutchlow are in sixth and seventh respectively. Smith is 10 points behind Dovizioso while Crutchlow is a further 20 points behind Smith. 

The next round of the 2015 MotoGP championship takes place in seven weeks at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway circuit.
