Burgess may not go with Rossi to Ducati

Wizard of Oz says he's happy to win more races with Yamaha

ROSSI TO DUCATI: It's the hottest story in MotoGP right now and the tale's just taken a new twist with Rossi's crew chief Jeremy Burgess saying he may not follow the nine-time World Champion to Ducati, if he decides to leave Fiat Yamaha.

The Australian technician, who's been crew chief to both Rossi and five-time 500cc World Champion Mick Doohan, told Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport that he was happy to stay with Yamaha, with a view to winning more races, whatever Rossi decides.

"I've worked so much in this team and I'm happy to stay here," said Burgess. "To win more races Yamaha is what I would like to carry on doing for the years to come.

"I've always said that the moment Valentino decides to retire, that could be the right opportunity for me to quit. Should he choose something else, there's no guarantee I will go with him."

It's expected Rossi will make an announcement on his future after the Czech MotoGP at Brno, 15th August.
