Rossi: Radiation will stop me going to Japan

GP champ says Dorna could have relocated to Suzuka

NINE-time world champion Valentino Rossi is considering missing the Japanese MotoGP due to his concerns over radiation.

Rossi said to the Italian media: "I really don’t think I’ll go to Japan. ... I was hoping that the championship organizers would make the right decision, but that hasn’t been the case and now we’ve got a serious problem."

The race has been resheduled for the 2nd of October at Motegi, which is north of Tokyo but a few hundred miles south of the areas worst affected by radiation in northeastern Japan.

Earlier this year, Rossi suggested moving the race to the Suzuka circuit which lies further south.

The earthquake in March left more than 20,000 people dead or missing and caused a nuclear crisis.
