Rally ace Loeb back on two wheels

World Rally Champ's first competitive motorcycle riding since his last race in 1990

NINE-TIME World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb will be back racing motorcycles this weekend.

Loeb is competing in the 2013 Scorpion Masters, an event that takes place at the Paul Ricard circuit in France on the 30th of November. The event pitches huge motorcycle talents against each other in four different two-wheeled disciplines.

Loeb will compete on KTM machinery in the four classes: Speed, Trial, Enduro and Supermoto. Soheil Ayari and Sébastien Loeb are the only two car-drivers competing against well respected motorcycle racers like Vincent Philippe, David Checa, Sam Lowes, Boris Chambon and Eddy Seel.

This is the third year of the Scorpion Masters and Loeb's first time riding a motorcycle competitively since he last raced motorcycles in 1990.

Loeb burst onto the professional World Rally stage in 1999 and has won 78 of the 167 races he has entered. Not only is he one of World Rally's all time greats, he's also competed in the 24-Hour Le Mans twice, with a best finish of second in 2006. He has tested formula 1 cars and also competed in the FIA GT series in a McLaren.

In 2014 he has signed a deal to switch from Rally to the FIA World Touring Car Championship.
