CRP racing backs TTXGP founder

'Azhar Hussain is the only person in the world who has the experience and skills to organise and promote a worldwide electric championship'

ONE OF the world's leading electric racebike builders has said TTXGP founder Azhar Hussain is 'the only person in the world who has the experience and skills to organise and promote a worldwide electric championship'.

The statement comes at a time where the world of zero-emission motorcycle racing has been immersed in controversy by the news the FIM are to set up their own epower race series, in direct competition to Hussain's TTXGP championship.

Hussain, seen by many as the mastermind behind zero-emission motorcycle racing, received another body blow last week when Isle of Man TT organisers announced the 'Zero TT' - a copy of Hussain's original TTXGP concept - will run in place of 2009's highly successful Island event.

In retaliation, CRP has pledged its sole support for Hussain, saying it will not sell machines to anyone wishing to compete in the FIM's zero emission series.

Will epower TT racing continue without the man that spawned the idea behind it? Probably. But one thing's for sure: it's going to develop at a much slower pace now there are factions pulling from both ends of the wire.
