British MotoGP stars to ride TT parade lap

Three British MotoGP riders set to take part after Scott Redding’s withdrawal

BRITISH MotoGP riders Cal Crutchlow, Bradley Smith and Michael Laverty are due to take part in an Isle of Man TT parade lap today.

The three are due to ride the Mountain course ahead of this afternoon’s Senior TT race.

Britain’s four current MotoGP stars had been set to take part in the lap but Gresini Honda rider Scott Redding pulled out earlier this week following deaths in the races.

Isle of Man resident Crutchlow is due to do the lap on a Ducati Superleggera.

The factory Ducati rider joked: ‘I know the track so I’ve got a definite advantage there. Maybe we could take that race result as the result of our championship.’

The forecast is for dry conditions with sunny intervals for the six-lap Senior TT starting at 1pm.
