Lowes to join MSS Kawasaki

Alex Lowes replacing Stuart Easton from the Thruxton BSB round

AFTER opting out of a contract and splitting with WFR Honda Alex Lowes has been picked up to replace the injured Stuart Easton at MSS Colchester Kawasaki.

Lowes parted company with the leading BSB Evo series team after turning down a contract offer from the team and has been without a ride since the Croft round.

Easton was seriously injured following an accident in practice at the NW200, leaving a seat vacant on the MSS Colchester Kawasaki ZX-10R. Nick Morgan made the decision to replace the injured Easton, who is currently being cared for at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, with Lowes from Thruxton onwards.

Alex said: "It’s a strange situation because I really wanted to get a BSB ride but this isn’t how I wanted it to happen obviously. It’s a great opportunity to get out on the MSS bike but the focus has got to be on Stuart’s recovery. He’s a mega racer and a real inspiration to lots of young riders, we all want to see him back where he belongs at BSB."
