Share your favourite roads with TomTom's Rider

New map sharing scheme means you can let all your mates know about the best biking roads you know

EVER RIDDEN a great bit of biking road and wanted to share it with your
mates?

You can now with the latest version of the Tom Tom Rider. The system’s
latest version , called the Rider 2nd Edition, features TomTom’s spiffing Map
Share scheme that lets users tinker with the maps by adding newly built roads
and routes to the map database.

The system now lets you take your unit and go online to upload and share
your improved maps and routes with other Tom Tom users.
There is also a new ‘Help Me’ menu that delivers access to emergency
services or the AA and the added Itinerary Planner even includes the locations of
the nearest Little Chef.

But don’t worry if you’ve already shelled out for an original Rider system,
a free upgrade download for the original unit is available from the TomTom
website.

The new Tom Tom Rider will be available from May and will cost from £350 for
UK maps to £400 European maps.
