Watch: Kawasaki releases another Z900RS teaser video

The Z900RS will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25

WITH only three weeks (and a day) to go until the launch of its Z1-aping Z900RS, Kawasaki has released a second teaser video.

At the beginning of September we were given a glimpse of the new model through a roadside barrier, followed by a close up of the round headlight and traditionally styled clocks.

This time, in an equally cool fashion, the Japanese manufacturer has treated us to a brief ride by, followed by close ups of the front and rear sections.

Up front can be seen similar dual discs and upside-down forks to the Z900, while at the rear there's a megaphone chrome exhaust features, alongside what appears to be an embossed numberplate.

Due to be revealed on October 25 at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Z900RS is thought to be based on the Z900, with added styling that harks back to the 1970s Z1, including fake engine fins for an air-cooled look.

Upon launch, it will become Kawasaki's only retro offering, following the discontinuation of the genuinely traditional W800.

Given the current craze for all things retro, a Z1-aping Z900RS could well go down a storm, especially if the pricing is anything like the stock Z900’s £8,249.
