Milan Show: Suzuki GSX-R600 latest

Own the racetrack?

It seems that we shouldn't overlook the eagerly awaited GSX-R600. Our contacts in Milan have told us that this new bike, almost sneaked in through the back door by Suzuki, is going to be a real surprise.

The info may still be sketchy at this stage but it transpires that Suzuki have really worked hard, not just on power and torque delivery, but also on weight distribution and weight transference. The 2011 GSX-R600 runs a much longer swingarm than before and its small, compact and lightweight engine is now crammed hard up against the front wheel.

Only a select few have ridden the new model to date (it's officially launched to the press early in December) but apparently the wait will be worth it.

Also gracing Suzuki's stand at EICMA was this factory race kitted GSX-R600 which would suggest that the rumours are true and the baby GSX-R is going to be tailor made for the track.
