Highland back on track for 2013

US bike maker recovers from plane crash blow, announces Street Tracker for January

HIGHLAND looks like it's back on track.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based motorcycle company and engine builder suffered a cruel blow to its ambitious plans when its founder Mats Malmberg and two other top executives died in a light plane crash a couple of years ago, pausing all company activity

Highland has now hit the play button again, continuing from where it left off. Its first offering, the Street Tracker, will be launched in January 2013. It will be powered by a V-twin (which the company builds in 750, 950 and 1150 cc capacities) and offer plenty of options for customisation.

Off-road, adventure and street models, as well as a quad, are also scheduled to be released in 2013.
