The AA add 50 Pan Europeans to their fleet

Motorcycles make a comeback for congested cities

THE AA have added 50 ST1300 Pan Europeans to their fleet.

Previously, the company used Silverwing 600 scooters and NT700VA Deauvilles but these have now reached the end of their service. The new ST1300s will patrol the most congested cities in the UK; London, Derby, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham and Manchester.

One of the Pan European's selling points for the AA is its large battery which can be used to charge car batteries.

The AA first started using motorcycles in 1912, their early fleet consisted of marques including Triumph, BSA and Chater Lea. In 1938, the AA had over 1500 motorcycles on patrol.
