London Harley-Davidson dealer to close

Sixteen jobs axed as Harley dealer announces closure at end of 2010

A HARLEY-DAVIDSON dealership in London has announced it is to close at the end of December with the loss of 16 jobs.

Stratstones Harley-Davidson in Chingford told staff in a meeting last week they would be made redundant at the end of 2010.

The company, which has been operative for the last 15 years, has not yet disclosed why it's closing its doors, however, an ongoing decline in UK motorcycle sales could be attributed to the comapny's demise.

*Update:

Stratstone's PR company contacted Visordown today (Tuesday) with the news the company is to relocate to Stoke-on-Trent in the New Year.
