HESKETH, the motorcycle marque established by Lord Hesketh in 1980, could produce a new model in 2012.
The original company went bust in 1984 and were bought by another company, Broom Engineering. The marque never really developed and now it has been sold to a new owner, Paul Sleeman, who relocated the business to London.
Now Sleeman intends to revive the marque, according to an interview in MCS&L. Sleeman has also promised five final editions of the V1000 before building an all-new Hesketh that will be based around a 72-degree liquid-cooled 1,000cc v-twin engine, allegedly putting out 150bhp.
The engines are said to be ready for testing within six-weeks and following testing, Hesketh are aiming to launch their new model in 2012.
