BMW buck sales slump with S1000RR and R1200GS

Supersports sales down 27 per cent in March 2010

UK REGISTRATIONS of supersports machines may be down over 27 per cent last month compared to March 2009 but that hasn't stopped BMW from recording high sales for the S1000RR superbike.

UK customers snapped up 385 BMW S1000RRs in March 2010 alone.

The company also enjoyed strong sales of the ever-popular 1200GS range, with a combined monthly sales tally of 450 units for the GS and GS Adventure, as well as topping sales in the Touring category, with 212 sales of the R1200RT.
