Yamaha Y15ZR scooter transformed into a Valentino Rossi M1 replica

Youtube motorcycle blogger gengtayarbesar has modified his Yamaha Y15ZR scooter into a Valentino Rossi M1 racebike replica.

Yamaha Y15ZR scooter Valentino Rossi M1

To all the Yamaha Y15ZR scooter riders out there, have you ever thought of converting your ride into a Valentino Rossi M1 race replica? Let me answer that for you, probably not... but that’s exactly what motorcycle blogger and Yamaha fanatic gengtayarbesar has done. And it looks incredibly convincing!

Gengtayarbesar, from Malasia, has spent countless hours building his Y15ZR scooter into something that is one of a kind, with the latest addition to the scooter being a very MotoGP-like dry clutch, housed in a pearlescent clutch cover.

Other modifications include an accurate Yamaha MotoGP colour scheme, complete Monster decal (+ other sponsors) and of course Valentino's number 46; Ohlins steering damper; Brembo clutch and brake levers; heat-treated titanium exhaust header; Ohlins rear shock (with external reservoir); Ohlins front forks; slick Michelin tyres; and some beefy four-pot dual front calipers with braided hoses.

It’s evident from the numerous bespoke machined parts on this bike that no expense has been spared. All of these modifications add up to a very impressive looking machine that if you squint hard enough (at a distance of more than 50m) could be mistaken for the real deal M1.

The Y15 M1 scooter replica is often displayed at motorcycle shows around Malasia where never fails to attract a small crowd, as this creation is a real head-turner. Does anyone else secretly want one?

Now, although the Y15ZR is a geared 150cc scooter, would you ever consider buying one if it looked like Rossi’s M1?
