World of Kawasaki event at Donington Park

See a display of Ninjas spanning 30 years of production

THE annual World of Kawasaki event is taking place on Sunday July 6 at Donington Park Circuit.

Entry to the festival is free with Kawasaki hosting numerous events throughout the day. Riders who bring suitable riding gear can take part in a Motocross experience, whilst those looking for a bit of track time can ride the famous GP circuit for a small fee under the guidance of Focused Events trackday organisers.

Riders can also trade handlebars for a steering wheel and have a go on the Kawasaki MULE utility vehicle off-road course.

Also planned are BSB paddock displays featuring the machines and selected riders of the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team, the Lloyds British GB Moto squad and Gearlink Kawasaki.

Speaking of the event, Kawasaki Riders Club coordinator, Eleanor Berry, said: ‘There’s the Team Extreme BMX stunt show and Maxxis drift car, plus Kawasaki’s very own stunt rider, Lee Bowers on his highly-modified Ninja ZX-6R.’

Marketing Manager for Kawasaki UK, Mark Spiller, said: ‘There’s going to be a display of Ninja bikes across thirty years of their production with bikes supplied by Kawasaki fans themselves.

‘We will also have Tim Blakemore showing his ZZR1400 based Funny Bike drag racer and some great classic race bikes for people to see and some of them will also be started evoking some great memories, sights, and smells of yesteryear.’

Berry concluded: ‘We are putting 100% effort into this and hope is that it is seen as the best free biking event of the year!’
