Massive MV collection to be auctioned

But you have to buy all 71 bikes...

AN enormous collection of MV Agustas brought together by brand fanatic Gary Kohs in Michigan is set to go under the hammer this summer. But you can't just buy one; all 71 machines are being sold as a single lot.

Mecum Auctions will be selling the bikes, which range from the 1946 to 2007 and from 98cc to 1000cc, at Monterey on August 16-18. But while big collections get auctioned fairly regularly, it's not often that they're all sold as a single lot.

Individually, some of the bikes would be worth a small fortune – stuff like the 1954 125cc GP racer would be pretty amazing on its own – but with 71 machines all being sold together it's virtually impossible to even guess at how much the collection will rake in.
