KTM X-Bow car to cost £38k

Desmosedici RR price tag for KTM's first car

THE radical KTM X-Bow is the first car to be produced by the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer and will cost just under £38,000 when it goes on sale in the UK in Spring 2008.

KTM is aiming its 2-litre turbocharged car at the Ariel Atom and Caterham CSR range. The Audi-derived engine produces a not-so jaw dropping 237bhp but it makes up for power with technology; as the entire car is based around a carbonfibre monocoque chassis complete with fully adjustable dampers.

The X-Bow will tip the scales at around 700kg and will accelerate from 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds.

Forty thousand pounds? We'd have a Ducati Desmosedici RR instead.
