Four Brits picked for Red Bull Rookies Cup

1100 young talents headed to Valencia

Four British lads have seen off over 1,100 entrants into this year's Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Adam Blacklock, Matthew Hoyle, Stuart Mitchell and Jamie Charles Mossey are the four super talents who will be taking British hopes to the world stage in the 2007 season.

The riders took part in the qualification at Valencia, where they were initially cropped to a group of 165, then, from that group the Red Bull judges picked out the 45 best. These 45 went up against each other until the judges could establish their dream 20, of which four are British.

The young hopes will be riding specially prepared KTM RC125 GP bikes, punting out over 45bhp and boasting lap times that would see off an R1 around Donington.

The races will take place on the Sunday of a typical MotoGP weekend except for the Assen and Mugello rounds where they'll race on Saturday.

Good luck lads! Future MotoGP stars, no doubt.
