Foggy crowned king of the jungle

'The best thing that has ever happened,' says four-time former WSB champ

CARL Fogarty is the winner TV's I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here after beating Jake Quickenden and Melanie Sykes in the final of the show.

Foggy, 49, broke down in tears as he took his place on the show's throne after winning by public vote.

He endured three weeks in the Australian jungle, facing a series of bushtucker trials and beating 11 other celebrities including rapper Tinchy Stryder, footballer Jimmy Bullard and former MP Edwina Currie.

His final challenge involved eating ostrich anus and camel penis.

The four-time former World Superbike champion had said earlier in the show that winning would be 'the best thing I've ever done'.

After being crowned the show's 14th winner, he told presenters And and Dec: 'This is the best thing that has ever happened. It’s absolutely mental. I don’t know what, but I must have done something right.'

Former X-Factor contestant Quickenden was second and TV presenter Sykes third.

Foggy posted a video on Facebook this morning thanking his fans. He said: 'Massive, massive thank you to all the fans in the UK for spending your money and voting for me to be your king of the jungle.

'It means the world to me, the absolute world to me. I'm just so emotional that I've had so much support and just can't thank you all enough.'
