ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE manufacturer Brammo has unveiled a 'long distance' version of the company's Enertia roadbike, which now has an 80-mile range, doubling the previous bike's distance.
Called the Enertia Plus, the new bike will manage 80 miles to a charge, while still producing 30ft-lbs torque. The Plus weighs the same as its predecessor: 324lbs all-in.
Cost? It'll cost $8,995 (£5,700) when it goes on sale in the US next year - just $1,000 more than the normal Enertia.
And that's not all. Current Enertia owners get a $2,500 rebate, while some US states offer substantial financial incentives for those wishing to go the zero-emission route.
Isn't it time the UK government followed suit?
