End of the road for Voxan?

French bike manufacturer seeks takeover bid to avoid liquidation

A COURT IN France is to decide in the next ten days whether French motorcycle manufacturer Voxan will face a takeover bid or be sent into liquidation, with a subsequent sale of the company's assets.

In September 2009, Visordown reported the news Voxan was facing liquidation following ongoing financial woes. At the time, the court gave the company six months to find a suitable solution to the problem. With less than two weeks to the court's deadline nothing solid has arisen to save the manufacturer from liquidation.

According to French magazine Motorevue, IDF (Fortune Lands Luxembourg) and Sodemo, are both interested in buying the brand, although neither have yet filed the guarantee fund required by the Commercial Court.

Is this the end for the quirky V-twin building manufacturer?

Let's hope not.
