AN artist from New York has 3D printed a full size 1972 Honda CB500.
The life-size replica was printed using 18 rolls of 1mm thick plastic, giving it a total weight of roughly 18kg.
Jonathan Brand, the designer, said he’d always wanted to own a motorcycle but ‘life circumstances’ had gotten in the way - so he decided to make one.
The parts took on average four to 12 hours to print, with some taking as long as 24 hours.
By installing bearings in the wheels and steering stem, Brand's CB500 can roll and be steered despite being made entirely out of plastic.
