300 million Hondas made

That’s a lot

HONDA has celebrated the manufacture of its 300 millionth bike since the first Dream Type-D rolled off the production line in 1949.

The milestone 300 millionth machine was a Goldwing 40th Anniversary model built at Honda’s Kumamoto plant, although given how fast Hondas fly from production lines at factories around the globe – there are 33 facilities in 22 different countries – it’s hard to imagine how they managed to pin down the exact bike that was the 300 millionth.

Takanobu Ito, president and CEO of Honda Motor Co., Ltd, said: “Thanks to support from our customers and all of the people involved in development, production and sales, Honda was able to reach the 300 million-unit milestone. We will continue to provide products that will please our customers in each country and region in the world
