A 29-year old biker from Shrewsbury was killed on the Isle of Man after he crashed on The Mountain in the early hours of Friday morning.
Mathew Alexander Evans was riding his Honda Fireblade and crashed while attempting to round the lefthand bends at the Mountain Box.
The accident occured between 7.50am and 8.18am on Friday morning. Police are unsure whether any other vehicle was on the road at that time and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the red, white and blue Fireblade on The Mountain at this time.
Last year, The Mountain was closed when a Ford Escort, driven by a 21-year old male, overturned at Mountain Box, a notorious black spot. Emergency repairs had to be carried out on the road to ensure it was safe.
Anyone with information is requested to contact the Roads Policing Unit.
